Argentina's House of Representatives Investigative Committee released its final report on the Libra crash, alleging that President Javier Milei provided "key coordination" to the project and recommending that Congress evaluate whether it was involved in improper duties. The report said that Milei had issued a document for the Libra platform, and then the project party linked the wallet to cash out 107 million US dollars, and 114,410 wallets lost money.
The committee also linked the incident to projects such as KIP Protocol, pointing to a pattern of "presidential endorsements draining the pool of funds" that suggested the government was circumventing regulation. Milei denied the allegations and disbanded the internal investigation team in May. He and the Libra founders are currently under judicial investigation and face class-action lawsuits.
