Deutsche Bank: Any signs of weakness in September's non-farm payroll data will be amplified

"Attention is rapidly shifting to the belated September non-farm payroll report, which we should have had nearly seven weeks ago," Deutsche Bank analysts said in a note on Thursday. They added: "Normally, data from a few months ago would not have had much impact, but a rate cut in December is likely to depend on whether the data is weak - a possibility that does exist, especially when the equilibrium growth rate of the job market in 2025 is already at such a low level, any signs of weakness will be particularly noticeable."
