Adam Back: Bitcoin Will Not Face Quantum Risk in the Next 20-40 Years

Blockstream CEO Adam Back said bitcoin is unlikely to face a substantial threat from quantum computing for at least two or three decades. Back replied to whether bitcoin is at risk saying "probably not for 20-40 years", adding that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has approved post-quantum encryption standards that bitcoin could implement "long before cryptography-related quantum computers".
