Mr. Trump said on Sunday local time that House Republicans should vote to require the Department of Justice to release documents on Epstein, effectively reversing a position he had taken for months. "House Republicans should vote to release Epstein documents because we have nothing to hide and it is time to move on," Mr. Trump said in a social media post on his way back from Florida. "The House Oversight Committee has access to all the information they are legally entitled to, I don't care!" Congressional committees released about 20,000 pages of emails and other documents last week as the focus shifted from the shutdown controversy to the issue of file disclosure and pressured the White House to respond. The House will vote this week on whether to require the Department of Justice to release the investigative documents. Mr. Trump and the White House had previously said there was no need to release more documents. "I don't care if it's public," Mr. Trump told reporters on Friday, calling it a distraction from his second term.
