The Federal Reserve's Logan signalled again on Friday that she would oppose a rate cut in December, having previously opposed a rate cut in October because she was concerned that inflation was too high and headed upward and would take too long to reach the Fed's 2 per cent target. "As I look ahead to the December meeting, I think it will be very difficult to support another rate cut unless we have compelling evidence that inflation is indeed falling faster than I expect, or we see more than a gradual cooling in the labour market," Logan said.
