President Donald Trump hosted a welcome dinner at the White House on Wednesday for top Wall Street executives. According to people familiar with the matter, the dinner was attended by financial titans including Jamie Dimon, the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, and Steve Schwarzman of BlackRock. Treasury Secretary Vincent Bescent and Commerce Secretary Robert Lutnik were also present. During the dinner, business executives and government officials discussed how to solve America's affordability problems, particularly with regard to mortgages. Guests also included Lynn Martin, president of the New York Stock Exchange; Adena Friedman, chief executive of Nasdaq; Ken Moelis, chairperson of Moelis & Co.; and hedge fund billionaire Bil Ackman. Also present was Brandon Lutnik, son of the commerce secretary, who took over as chairperson of Cantor Fitzgerald after his father joined the cabinet.
