The U.S. House of Representatives will hold a full-house vote on the Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act. The bill, the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21), is the most comprehensive piece of cryptocurrency legislation passed in a congressional committee to date and a milestone in important digital asset regulation legislation. The bill, which was promoted by Republican Rep. Patrick McHenry, Chairperson of the House Financial Services Committee, and has been voted on by the House Rules Committee, will be the first digital asset regulation bill to pass the House. McHenry stated that the passage of the bill will provide a clear regulatory framework for the digital asset market, solidify the United States' leadership position in the global financial system, and strengthen its role as an international center of innovation. Although it is progressing well, the bill may face challenges in the Senate, so further observation is required.
