On the morning of May 10, local time, Beijing time tonight, at the request of many countries, the tenth emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly resumed. The meeting considered the issue of admitting Palestine as a new member of the United Nations and passed a resolution granting Palestine more rights. In the vote, 143 votes were in favor, 9 votes were against, and 25 abstentions were abstained. The resolution was passed. The United States and Israel voted against.
