Michael Metcalfe, head of macro strategy at State Street, said that if the US government shutdown continued, further growth would be affected. Fortunately, the government shutdown has passed, which means that economic growth will not be seriously affected. Investors are watching the jobs data that has not been released due to the government shutdown, weighing whether the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates again in December.
Metcalfe pointed out that for the stock market to continue its rally, the data must be weak enough to prompt the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates, but not so weak as not to raise concerns about an economic slowdown. (Jin Ten)
