Sonic Labs Launches Token Deflation Mechanism While Rewarding Ecosystem Builders

According to The Block, Sonic Labs today announced the launch of a new Fee Monetization (FeeM) system designed to achieve the deflationary effect of its native token S. The system will offer tiered rewards ranging from 15% to 90% to ecosystem builders based on network usage, with a fixed allocation of 10% to validators, with the remainder destroyed. Sonic CEO Mitchell Demeter said the move is designed to "increase deflation and strengthen long-term value alignment."
