Visa Launches Stablecoin Payment Pilot Program

Visa has announced the launch of its Stablecoin Payments Pilot Program, which allows creators, freelancers and businesses to receive payments directly from Circle-issued USDC through Visa Direct for instant cross-border settlement. During the pilot phase, companies can initiate payments in fiat currency in the US, and the recipient can choose to receive the USDC directly, and the funds can arrive in almost minutes, which will facilitate users in areas with volatile currencies or restricted bank access, Visa said.
