The number of validators on Ethereum has declined by about 10% since July and has fallen back to April 2024 levels, marking the first sustained validator exit since the shift to proof-of-stake.
As of November 11, the number of daily active validators on Ethereum fell below 1 million for the first time since April 28, and is currently 999,203. The waiting time to exit the queue hit a record high of 17.6 days; at the same time, the waiting time for validators to join also soared to 22 days, with about 1.20 million ETH waiting to be pledged, or related to the reduction of the pledge income.
