Former BlackRock executive Joseph Chalom claims that Ethereum is the infrastructure of Wall Street

On November 12th, Joseph Chalom, co-CEO of Sharplink and former head of digital asset strategy at BlackRock, said that Ethereum is not just another blockchain, but the cornerstone on which Wall Street will eventually build financial infrastructure. The trust, security and liquidity that Financial Institution Group values are all available in Ethereum, which makes him bet his career on it. He said that there are a large number of stablecoins, asset tokenization and smart contract activities on Ethereum, which is a trusted chain for financial digitalization. Sharplink is one of several digital asset finance companies that have amassed Ether, but Chalom believes most are struggling to scale and many will not perform well without strong trading volumes, clean balance sheets and in-house teams managing pledges and investments. Chalom does not see Sharplink as a departure from his BlackRock career, but as a continuation of his mission to connect traditional finance with the crypto ecosystem, as Ethereum can rebuild the system faster, cheaper and more securely. He sees Ethereum as the foundation for the next wave of financial digitisation, which will be collectively referred to as "finance" in the future, and Ethereum as the infrastructure behind it.
