The three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, with the Dow up 1.18%, the S & P 500 up 0.21%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.25%. Chip stocks generally fell, Micron Technology fell more than 4%, ARM fell more than 3%, Nvidia, AMD, and Applied Materials fell more than 2%. Large technology stocks were mixed, Apple rose more than 2%, Netflix rose more than 1%, Oracle fell more than 2%, and Tesla fell more than 1%.
