According to Politico, the U.S. Senate has approved a bill to end the government shutdown and move it to the House of Representatives.
The bipartisan bill still needs to pass the House of Representatives and be signed by President Donald Trump before the government can reopen. Mike Johnson, the speaker of the House of Representatives, has told lawmakers that the House could vote on the package as early as Wednesday.
