On November 10th, according to the AXIOS website, several sources said that several Democratic members of the US Senate said on Sunday that they were ready to move forward with a package of bills to end the government shutdown. This is the most groundbreaking sign in bipartisan negotiations in more than a month. At least 10 Democratic senators are expected to support a procedural motion to advance a package that includes a spending package and a short-term funding measure to keep the federal government open until the end of January, multiple sources said. The deal includes a vote in December on a Democratic proposal to extend the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credit for a year, and may also include provisions to help federal employees laid off due to the government shutdown. Senators stayed in Washington for a rare meeting over the weekend and are expected to vote on procedural motions for a government funding package on Sunday.
