SlowMist Cosine has released a Balancer $100 million hacked analysis report. The report points out that the root cause of the Balancer v2 Composable Stable Pool implementation (based on Curve StableSwap's Stable Math) is that there is a loss of precision in the integer fixed-point operation of the scalingFactors, resulting in a small but compound accumulated spread/error in the token exchange. Attackers use small exchanges under low liquidity to amplify this error to significantly accumulate profits.
