CoinGecko released a new report saying that low-float cryptocurrencies account for 21.3% of the top 300 cryptocurrencies by market cap. This means that 1 in 5 large-cap cryptocurrencies has a large part of their token supply unlocked, resulting in a market cap-to-full dilution valuation (FDV) ratio below 0.5.
Among the large-cap cryptocurrencies, the four cryptocurrencies with the lowest liquidity are Worldcoin (WLD) with a market cap to FDV ratio of 0.02, Cheelee (CHEEL) with 0.06, Starknet (STRK) with 0.07, and Saga (SAGA) with 0.09. The four cryptocurrencies with the lowest liquidity were all launched in 2023 or 2024.
