Gemini Space Station Inc., a cryptocurrency exchange founded by billionaires Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, is preparing to launch a prediction market contract, according to people familiar with the matter.
The move will bring Gemini into the emerging field of prediction markets - federally regulated financial products that allow people to place bets on the outcome of sporting events, elections and other events - that Financial Institutions Group is scrambling to deploy.
