Ripple's Dollar Stablecoin RLUSD Market Cap Breaks 1 billion Dollars

Less than a year after its launch in December 2024, Ripple's dollar stablecoin, RLUSD, has surpassed $1 billion in market capitalization to become the 10th largest dollar stablecoin. RLUSD is circulating on Ethereum and XRP Ledger at $819 million and $203 million, respectively. Ripple president Monica Long said the rapid growth is due to rising institutional demand, the expansion of the payment network, and a number of recent mergers and acquisitions. In 2025, Ripple acquired four companies, including deal broker Hidden Road (now Ripple Prime), stablecoin payments company Rail, financial technology provider GTreasury, and wallet infrastructure startup Palisade.
