Berachain: All funds stolen due to vulnerability have been recovered
2025-11-04 16:23:43
Berachain has released an announcement saying that all funds (approximately $12.80 million) lost due to the BEX/Balancer v2 vulnerability have been returned to the Berachain Foundation Deployer address. The blockchain has been restored to operation. The minting/exchange function of HONEY has also been restored accordingly, but all BEX functions are restricted, including exchange, withdrawal, deposit, etc. For those stolen funds pools with a large number of independent depositors, the Berachain core team is currently developing a system that will return deposits to their original address and distribute them to users accordingly. The team reminds that depositing users who are not currently hacked in BEX cannot withdraw cash for the time being. This is out of caution, as the cause of the Balancer vulnerability has not been fully identified.
