"Monthly funding fees paid by long parties in bitcoin perpetual contracts have fallen by about 62 per cent, from $338 million per month in mid-August to $127 million per month today," Glassnode said. "This highlights a clear macro downward trend in speculative demand as traders become increasingly reluctant to pay interest to maintain long positions."
