The Dow was up 0.28 percent at the open, the S & P 500 was up 0.53 percent and the Nasdaq was up 0.96 percent. Amazon (AMZN. O) opened up about 4.5 percent after the company signed a $38 billion deal with OpenAI to support its NVIDIA chips. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 2.7 percent after reports that the United States had approved Microsoft's first export of its latest NVIDIA chips to the United Arab Emirates.
