MPOB Monthly Report Comments: April Report Close to Expectations, Short-Term Impact Expected to Be Neutral

Golden Ten Futures Special New Lake Futures Comments: At noon today, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) released the supply and demand data of horse palm in April. The data shows: April Malay gross palm production 1.502 million tons, an increase of 7.86% month-on-month. Previously, MPOA estimated that April production increased by 10% month-on-month by about 1.53 million tons, and other institutions estimated that production increased by 5% month-on-month. According to MPOA estimates, the actual production is close to expectations. April horse palm exports 1.234 million tons, a decrease of 6.97% month-on-month, and institutions estimated exports of 121-1.22 million tons, close to expectations. April horse palm inventories finally 1.744 million tons, a slight increase of 1.85% month-on-month, and also close to the inventory expectations of MPOA production caliber. Overall, MPOB's April report is close to expectations, and the short-term impact is expected to be neutral.
