Mark Newton CMT, head of technical strategy at Fundstrat, wrote on the X platform that he disagrees with the idea that cryptocurrencies have peaked, citing five reasons:
The Elliott wave structure shows no signs of peaking.
The monthly DeMark signal is not yet in place.
The MACD indicator turned negative due to sideways consolidation is not decisive;
The medium-term upward trend since 2022 has not been broken.
Sentiment is far from the level that would normally mark a meaningful peak in the market.
He added that he is monitoring signals confirming that ETH and BTC prices have bottomed out.
