According to Decrypt, the head of the European Financial and Economic Crime Centre (EFECC), the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, warned this week that the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain for criminal activities is "increasingly sophisticated."
It pledged that the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation will continue to increase its investment in supporting member states in conducting complex international investigations, and called for the development of global standards and the provision of impartial blockchain training to strengthen cross-border investigations.
