Musk has revealed plans to release a flying car this year, claiming it will surpass "all James Bond cars"

In an interview on the Joe Rogan podcast released on Friday, Elon Musk, chief executive of Tesla (TSLA. O), said the company could make a public debut of flying cars by the end of 2025. Asked about the progress of the repeatedly delayed new Roadster sports car, Musk revealed that prototype demonstrations are approaching. "My friend Peter Thiel has lamented that the future should be full of flying cars, but we haven't been able to make it happen yet," Musk admitted in the podcast. Pressed for details, he added: "Since Peter wants flying cars, we should make them available to him." Musk described the upcoming [flying] car as equipped with "disruptive technology" and promised that its appearance would be "memorable". He compared the car's characteristics this way: "Even if you put together all the ideas of James Bond's car, this car will still be more crazy."
