On November 1st, US President Donald Trump denied that he had decided to strike military targets in Venezuela, contradicting media reports that he had approved the attack. Asked by reporters on Air Force One on Friday whether he had made a decision, Trump responded briefly "no". The Miami Herald reported earlier in the day that the Trump administration had decided to launch an attack on military facilities in Venezuela and that the strike could be launched at any time. When asked about the report, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said "anonymous sources are not aware of the actual situation at all" and stressed that any official statement would be issued by the president himself.
