On November 1st, Atlanta Federal Reserve President Bostic made it clear on Friday that a December interest rate cut is not a given. Speaking about the outlook for monetary policy at the Dallas Fed meeting, he stressed: "I would reiterate that every meeting is a live decision, and we have neither set a course nor deviate from the principle of data dependence." Bostic specifically pointed out that despite strong market expectations for a rate cut at the end of the year, Federal Reserve Chairperson Powell made it clear after this week's policy meeting that a December rate cut is not on the board. DingTalk is a smart move. He said that "the dot plot values show that there are different views, but do not read too far ahead. We will rely on the data to ensure that the decision is appropriate."
