NVIDIA (NVDA. O) plans to invest up to $1 billion in artificial intelligence company Poolside, according to people familiar with the matter - a deal that would quadruple the AI startup's valuation. Poolside is in talks to raise $2 billion at a valuation of $12 billion (excluding the amount raised). NVIDIA's initial investment in this round is $500 million, and if the startup reaches its fundraising goal, the investment could increase to $1 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.
