According to CNBC, US President Donald Trump said he had reached a one-year deal with China on rare earths and key minerals and cut tariffs on Chinese fentanyl by half to 10%. The leaders of the two countries met for the first time in six years in Busan, South Korea, and the talks lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Trump told reporters as he left South Korea that the meeting was "amazing" and "a lot of decisions were made". He said "the rare earths issue has been resolved", a one-year deal that is renegotiated annually. Tariffs on exports to China will also be reduced from 57% to 47%. Trump also revealed that he will visit China in April.
