On May 10th, the research report of China International Capital Corporation pointed out that the expected reversal of the pig cycle has strengthened, and the plate has entered the layout period, and low-cost and high-flexibility pig companies have priority to benefit. From a cyclical perspective, we judge that the pig price has a quarterly upward basis from 2Q24 to the end of the year. From a corporate perspective, we judge that the current capital pressure of pig companies has reached a historical extreme, and the upward period of pig prices is a key window for balance sheet repair.
