On October 29, according to Bloomberg News, a startup founded by former FTX US President Brett Harrison, Architect Financial Technologies, has been approved by the Bermuda Monetary Authority to launch a Perpetual Futures trading platform called "AX", introducing the crypto derivatives mechanism to traditional asset classes such as stocks, foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodities.
Harrison said the platform will support round-the-clock trading and accept fiat and US dollar stablecoins as margin to break through the limitations of traditional settlement systems. In the future, there are also plans to launch perpetual contracts covering AI economy-related assets such as rare earths, renewable energy, data center computing power costs.
Chicago-based Architect, which is in a Series A round of funding and has received funding from Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures and Anthony Scaramucci's SALT Fund, said the regulatory environment in the US market is easing, and perpetual contracts are expected to usher in new opportunities in the traditional financial sector.
