Polkadot blockchain activity has surged to record levels, with active addresses hitting record highs for two consecutive months. Data from DotLake shows that the network had around 650,000 active addresses on the chain as of the end of April. The increase continues an upward trend of more than 605,000 active blockchain addresses in March.
Polkadot said the milestone represents a significant increase in activity, setting an all-time high for monthly active accounts since the launch of parachains in 2022. The increase in active addresses is mainly attributed to Moonbeam. During the reporting period, Moonbeam accounted for more than 60% of these addresses, totaling 397,515, compared to Polkadot's 136,612 addresses.
