Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said all of the company's infrastructure building commitments totaled just over 30 gigawatts, with a total investment of about $1.40 trillion. The company's vision is to build infrastructure plants capable of generating 1 gigawatt of computing power per week, and aims to significantly reduce the cost of AI computing power to about $20 billion per gigawatt over the five-year life cycle.
