French Lawmaker Suggests Country to Buy 420,000 BTC in Next 7-8 Years

On October 28th, French lawmaker Éric Ciotti joined the center-right party UDR to propose a bill proposing that the country buy about 420,000 bitcoins in the next 7 to 8 years, accounting for about 2% of the total supply. Funding sources include using nuclear power and hydropower surpluses to mine bitcoin at the national level, disposing of seized cryptoassets, and directing savings account funds to buy BTC daily. If passed, France will become the first European country to include bitcoin in the national reserve.
