Mr. Trump plans to have dinner with chief executives, including Salesforce chief executive Benioff, Toshiba chief Taro Shimada and Rakuten chief executive Hiroshi Mikitani, in an effort to promote Japanese investment in the United States and cap Mr. Trump's trip to Tokyo. Mr. Brockman, co-founder of OpenAI, Toshihiro Mibu, president of Honda, and Palmer Larch, founder of Anduril Industries, are among the invited guests. The dinner will be held at the residence of George Glass, the US ambassador to Japan. Under a trade framework agreed earlier this year, Mr. Trump lowered and capped tariffs on Japanese goods in return for Japan's pledge to provide $550 billion in funding for US projects.
