China Securities Supervision Commission issued policies and measures to protect small and medium investors, further improving the protection mechanism for small and medium investors in capital markets

On the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions from various quarters, the China Securities Supervision Commission has studied and drafted several opinions on strengthening the protection of small and medium investors in capital markets, which were officially released today. In accordance with the idea of "targeting core concerns, striving to be pragmatic and effective, and having evidence in law", the Several Opinions focus on the key issues that small and medium-sized investors are concerned about, focusing on strengthening the protection of small and medium-sized investors in the process of issuance and listing, creating an institutional environment conducive to small and medium-sized investors in arm's length transactions, compacting the protection responsibilities of small and medium-sized investors in operating institutions, severely cracking down on illegal acts that infringe on the interests of small and medium-sized investors, and further promoting the diversified resolution of securities and futures disputes. Twenty-three specific measures were put forward in eight aspects, including strengthening the protection of small and medium-sized investors in the process of termination of listing. Relevant measures are conducive to improving the investor protection mechanism, enhancing the inherent stability of capital markets, effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of small and medium investors, and effectively boosting market confidence.
