According to Decrypt, South Korean-listed company Bitplanet executed the first purchase of its daily bitcoin accumulation program, purchasing 93 BTC on Sunday as part of the company's goal of building 10,000 bitcoin inventory.
According to reports, the company is backed by Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich, and the move is positioned as the first bitcoin purchase by a South Korean listed company. Bitplanet previously announced the plan at the Bitcoin Asia 2025 conference in late August, and rebranded it, setting aside $40 million for future purchases.
