China and the United States hold economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On October 26th, from October 25th to 26th local time, Vice Premier He Lifeng, the Chinese leader of China-US economic and trade, and the US leader, US Treasury Secretary Vincent and Trade Representative Grier held China-US economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during the previous phone calls since the beginning of this year, the two sides conducted candid, in-depth and constructive exchanges and consultations on important economic and trade issues of mutual concern such as the US-China Maritime Logistics and Shipbuilding Industry 301 Measures, the extension of the reciprocal tariff suspension period, fentanyl tariff and law enforcement cooperation, agricultural trade, and export control, and reached basic consensus on arrangements to address their respective concerns. The two sides agreed to further determine the specific details and implement their respective domestic approval procedures.
