In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump claimed that Canada had been caught red-handed with fraudulent advertisements falsifying Ronald Reagan's tariff speech. The Reagan Foundation said that Canada had "selected audio and video clips of President Ronald Reagan to create an advertising campaign that misrepresented the original intent of the President's radio speech" and "neither permission nor authorization was sought before these remarks were used and edited.
