Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said the company plans to launch its GENIUS-compliant dollar stablecoin USAT for the US market in December, and expand the number of wold-be users to 100 million by deploying it on platforms such as Rumble. USAT is issued by a joint venture between Tether and regulated crypto bank Anchorage Digital. Ardoino said it will continue to invest in content platforms and social media to promote creators' economic payment applications and compete for market share with competitors such as PayPal.
At the same time, Tether's flagship stablecoin USDT supply increased to $182 billion, continuing to dominate the roughly $300 billion stablecoin market; physical gold-backed XAUT has surpassed $2.20 billion in market capitalization this year, more than tripling from the start of the year, mainly driven by retail demand.
