According to DeFiLlama data, the volume of decentralized perpetual contracts has broken through the $1 trillion mark in October, a record high, and there is still a week before the end of the month. This figure greatly exceeds the record of $762 billion set in August, indicating that the market trading activity level has increased significantly.
Hyperliquid led October with $317.60 billion in trading volume, followed by Lighter ($255.40 billion), Aster ($177.60 billion) and edgeX ($134.70 billion), with smaller decentralized exchanges contributing the rest.
In addition, on October 10 alone, the volume of decentralized perpetual contracts reached a record $78 billion on that day, highlighting the rapidly growing demand for leveraged trading in the crypto market.
