JPMorgan expects the Federal Reserve to end quantitative tightening next week

JPMorgan strategists said in a note on Wednesday that the Federal Reserve may end quantitative tightening at next week's October FOMC meeting in light of tighter funding conditions this week. JPMorgan now expects that in addition to ending the balance sheet reduction at the October meeting, the Federal Reserve will immediately initiate temporary open market operations, particularly to ease financial pressures on settlement day, the end of Canada's fiscal year and beyond.
