Despite the current Albanian government's introduction of one of the most ambitious digital asset regulatory reforms in the country's history, Australia's cryptocurrency adoption rate remains stagnant. According to crypto exchange Swyftx's fifth annual Australian Crypto Survey, released on Wednesday, adult crypto ownership has remained stagnant and public trust in digital assets continues to decline.
The report data shows that nearly 60% of Australians say they do not trust cryptocurrencies, up from 57% last year. Among those who have never held digital assets, the biggest deterrent is their belief that the crypto industry still lacks clear regulatory rules.
