155 crypto ETF applications in the United States are pending approval, led by Bitcoin and Solana

According to Bloomberg, as of October 20, there have been 155 applications for cryptocurrency-based exchange-traded products (ETPs) in the United States, covering 35 digital assets, including 23 applications each for Bitcoin and Solana, 20 for XRP, and 16 for Ethereum. Although the U.S. government shutdown that began on October 1 has delayed the approval process, industry experts remain optimistic that approval is imminent. Recently, issuers have actively submitted 2x and 3x leveraged ETFs and products that include a pledge mechanism, reflecting the market's "all-out land grab" for crypto ETFs. Analysts have pointed out that investors prefer to diversify into emerging digital assets through index-based and actively managed ETFs rather than single tokens. Since the launch of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in January and July 2024, BTC ETFs have managed assets of nearly $150 billion, and ETH ETFs are about $24 billion.
