According to Blockworks reporter Ben Strack, asset manager T. Rowe Price, which manages about $1.80 trillion in assets, has submitted an application for a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The ETF is designed to outperform the FTSE US-listed cryptocurrency index, which consists of the top 10 cryptoassets by market cap that meet the Securities Exchange Commission's (SEC) common listing criteria.
