On October 21st, Cobo, a digital asset custodian and wallet infrastructure provider, announced that it has become a global partner of Google's AI Agent Payments Protocol AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol), and will work with global payment and technology partners to promote the application of A2A (Agent-to-Agent) in AI Agent payments.
Cobo plans to release a series of practical applications based on AP2 in Quarter 1 in 2026. AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol) is an open payment standard launched by Google for the "Agent Economy" and is based on the A2A communication protocol. It regulates AI proxy payment behavior through cryptographically signed Mandates, supports multi-track channels such as credit cards, bank transfers, and x402 stablecoins, enabling AI agents to complete transactions across merchants, applications, and cyber security within the scope of user authorization, and generate auditable evidence chains.
