Andre Cronje, founder of Sonic Labs, wrote, "I'm confused. So who is the Ethereum Foundation (EF) funding or supporting? When I was developing on Ethereum, the deployment and infrastructure alone burned over 700 ETH. I tried to contact EF, but I never received a reply - no business connection, no grants, no support, not even a single retweet. I was really confused when I started participating in the Sonic ecosystem later, because most of the teams there have BD support, funding, TVL bootstrapping, audits, and ongoing marketing activities. I thought EF did the same. But if they are neither supporting core developers (like Peter and the Geth team) nor the most active second-tier camps (like Sandeep and Polygon), where is their money going? "
