Ryder completes $3.20 million seed round led by founder of Draper Associates

On October 17, Singapore-based cryptocurrency hardware wallet maker Ryder completed a $3.20 million seed round led by Tim Draper, founder of Draper Associates. Other investors include venture capital firms Borderless, Semantic, Smape, VeryEarly, and angel investor Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko and Asymmetric CEO JoeMc Cann.
Ryder will use the funds to increase production, expand its marketing and engineering teams, and develop its Ryder One wallet product. Ryder One is equipped with a recovery system called TapSafe that restores wallet access via mobile devices and NFC tags. The company claims that this method does not require traditional mnemonic words, a common method for cryptocurrency wallet recovery.
